Dave Stimple, an unfocused mattress store owner, is having issues connecting with everyone around him. He arrives at the shop one morning to find the local health and safety people have shut him down. Bugs, huge bed bugs and lots of complaints are cited as the reason. Dave is really confused and his relationships with his wife, friends, and his own humanity seem to be devolving and increasingly distracting anomalies begin to take over his reality. But his issues may not be as internal as they seem.
Art dealer Trevor and his best friend Dante, an Italian/American fashion photographer, holiday in Capri where they both fall for Antonia, a local beauty. One of them marries her. Back in London Antonia is last seen in Regent's Park walking her Jack Russell terrier. The remains of a female body are recovered from Regent's Canal, and both her husband and his best friend are suspects in what increasingly appears to be a murder. This fast-moving story travels backwards in time. Exploration of the mystery of Antonia's fate follows twists and turns as hair-raising as the roads on the mountainous isle of Capri. Stefan Gabriel (Martin Wuttke) ist Bademeister und engagierter Vater zweier sehr unterschiedlicher Töchter. Die 12-jährige Jessica (Ella Frey) wird wegen ihres wenig mädchenhaften Aussehens oft für einen Jungen gehalten und hat mit einer ganzen Reihe Ticks zu kämpfen. Ihre drei Jahre ältere Schwester Sabrina (Emilia Bernsdorf) ist hingegen zwar hübsch, leidet aber unter einer schweren Krankheit. Im gleichen Maß(👊)e, wie Sabrinas Zustand schlechter wird, werden Jessicas Ticks immer schlimmer, weswegen die jü(🗄)ngere Schwester einen Plan ersinnt: Ein spezielles Ritual, auf das die Geschwister in einem Buch gestoßen sind, soll für Sabrinas Heilung sorgen, allerdings muss sie dafür Sex mit einem Jungen haben.
